more reflections!

Reflections on CIP hours
Jue Ying;

As it was the first time doing such an eventful thing, I looked forward to it a lot. Especially the time when we made the flowers. We spent much time doing them, but the result was truly satisfying to overcome the pain.

On the daywhen I was to proceed for street sales, I was very excited and enthusiastic. I woke up exceptionally early to prepare what I needed. It wasn’t much though.
When I reached the place, I was fifteen minutes early. I looked around. No one was here yet. At first, I thought that I went to the wrong place and even began to panic. It was until I saw some GB girls that I heavsd a sigh of relief.

When we started selling, it was not easy. For some people, they wouldn’t buy any of all. Some would even say some sacarstic remarks. For others, they only wanted to donate. The funny thing is that were even asking us if the cookies are safe to eat or not!

It was quite fun until the second shift. After doing for four hours, we became tired. How could someone continuosly be so energetic for such a long time? Some can, but I must admit that I cannot do it. It was really too tough for me!

We started slacking a bit here and there. Finally, after another four hours, we finally finished our duties and were allowed to go home. Phew! My legs were already starting to wobble. However, I was glad that my effort paid off when we counted the sum of money that we have earned using our hands and mouths. It was over a hundred dollars!

I will never forget this experience. I really enjoyed it.

Reflection
Per Jia Hui;

Recalling back, helping the Singapore Cancer Society to raise fund, really is tough. Going around Singapore, but it was indeed a fun and memorable experience. Shouting away “Hi, we are from Xinmin Girl’s Brigade helping the Singapore Cancer Society to raise funds, would you like to help them?’’ It was fun and tough, shouting all the way. Luckily, most people bought.

At first, it was really selling like hot-cakes. However, at the afternoon, it was very bad. Nobody wanted to help us buy, especially those youngsters. However, we never give up. By continuing shouting all the way. After that we had our short break and continue to ‘fight’. Just to attract customer. It was boring, but it was filled with fun, joy and laughter. So I hope to have another memorable experience like this the next time.
